Amazing how things change over the years.

Years ago, when I last had a wisdom tooth out, it was have an injection, which hurt like wotsists, go and sit in the waiting room for 15 minutes, have tooth out and then have a chipmunk look for a day or so.

This afternoon, 2 injections, one did hurt a little, tooth out, sit in the chair for a couple of minutes and out.

Chipmunk look there, a little, but as Grumpy said, it irons out the creases  :cute:

Probably cost more though ;)

I got all 4 of mine out in one go in Sydney. Each had an injection, and he pulled each one. $200 for the lot. It was an offer too good to refuse, they weren’t bothering me and there was nothing wrong with them, only my mouth was a little crowded and I use to bite myself a lot. I barely do know. At the time you would pay $200 to pull or fill one tooth.
Anyway, I was like a chipmunk for a week. I’ll never forget having to drive out to western suburbs of Sydney (inland = hotter) into 40c heat, in a convertible (in those heats you out the roof up) to pick up some race car parts the day after the extractions. The guy took one look at me when I arrived and fed me water and panadol before he even asked who I was and why was I there. It was an hour and a half drive there and I just about flakes out on him and could barely talk.
Everything happens for a reason

I walked around the village with Billy this morning. The parking at the school on the edge of our estate really annoys me. The school is at the end of the winding road which goes through the estate, visibility isn't good on the road due to the way it bends and dips, and they double park making it even worse, there was even one parking on the zig zag lines today.

What adds to the annoyance though is that there was an area of wasteland opposite the school (the school is on a corner, there's a lane which runs on the other side of it and this land is on the lane right opposite the other entrance to the school, and there's also a crossing there) and the council spent tax payers money turning this land into a car park for around 20 cars because there were so many complaints about parents parking stupidly on the road. They don't use it though! This morning there was one car parked on there. One!
God forbid they've got to walk 20 yards further.

I keep seeing this ad for an Evening With Robert De Niro at the ICC, I just looked at the prices and tickets start at £109 which includes a 3 course meal which isn't too bad I suppose. I scrolled down and you can pay to have a photo with him...prices for the photos range from £749 to £849
