I made Greek yoghurt in my Instant Pot at the weekend. Goodness me, it's flippin' gorgeous so breakfast since then has been a chopped banana, yoghurt and maple syrup granola crumbled on top.
Need to make more though now as it's almost all gone.

:D

I have just got a thermometer and yoghurt culture to try it out.

I have no idea what an instant pot is, but I have a pan. ;) :D :D

It's an electric pressure cooker/steamer/rice cooker/stew and soup maker/yoghurt maker/slow cooker/sauté pan which is worth its weight in gold; the hob and oven have rarely been used since I got it almost a year ago.

Jo, which one do you have and if you had to buy another one is there anything you'd do different or would you happily get the same one again?

Good grief! That *£:@ing hospital!
They sent Joe an appointment for next Monday which he can't make so I called to cancel it on Friday, or at least I tried to for almost 2 hours and eventually got through and managed - I thought - to cancel it.

Then there was the whole palaver of rebooking. They only hold the clinic on Mondays when he's at college and he can't really take time off. He can't do Oct half term but I asked for the Christmas holiday but they don't book that far in advance so they'd just send a random date within the next six weeks, and if he can't make that then I'd have to go through the whole cancellation process again  I eventually spoke to the consultant's secretary who put him in the diary or whatever for a Christmas appointment.

I've now just had a call from the automated system asking me to confirm that he'll be there next Monday...

I've got the Instant Pot Duo 8l (cos they're a greedy bunch here plus John always takes leftovers for lunch). I'd definitely get the same one again, or there's a more advanced one in the US which isn't yet available here. I toyed with getting the Lux which I think is slightly cheaper but it doesn't have as many functions.

I love that I'm not standing at the hob keeping an eye on whatever is cooking, that I can leave it and go and do something else.

And it makes the most wonderful baked cheesecake!
