As we know The Queen's funeral is on Monday 19th September.

This would have been my darling mum's 85th birthday and we had planned as normal to go to Nerja.

I shall be at home watching Her Majesty's final journey and resting place. xx

My mother met the Queen at Windsor in 1982. They were talking about cacti which mymother grew and the Queen also grew some.

Have two photos of them together. They could be any ywo ladies just having a chat.

I have shed a few tears watching the people go past the coffin in silence with dignity A very moving sightwhich will never be repeated.

As someone has said. Hollywood can never make a pageant like this.

Was chatting to a friend earlier, who knew the Queen quite well.

Princess Anne, apparently, had been up in Scotland for two weeks before the Queen died, as there were concerns about her health, but everything was kept quiet, on the media.

Hence the nasty marks on the Queen's arms, when she met Liz Truss.

That makes complete sense, Jan. I know D was concerned when she saw the Queen's hand, and said there was more going on than we'd been told. Quite rightly, they were giving her some privacy.

When I saw the image of her meeting with Truss I was stunned. She had clearly lost a lot of weight and was extremely frail.

Contrast the photo when Boris resigned and you can see the dramatic detail.

It is pretty clear she knew that she was losing whatever battle she was fighting and was in Balmoral for one last swing at keeping the United Kingdom together by lying in state in Scotland before being moved to London. Something that doesn't happen if the Monarch dies in England.

Quite literally choosing state over any other preference for how she might die. A fitting end to a life dedicated to that service.

In been watching live stream and can't help admire all these people who have walked for hours and hours to see the Queen and be part of history
