Which newspresenter is that on the beeb? - every time I look round she's not on screen.
Why can't she pronounce a simple word like 'years'??
Irritating me, every time she says it lol, it's 'yurs'

It's easy isn't it? - she could surely pronounce 'ear', she only has to stick a Y in front

Shampooing the carpet is becoming a weekly chore here. Tom spilt some sauce, sweet and sour I think but he says he can't remember but even getting this far is an achievement as initially he was denying spilling anything and trying to clean it up. Anyway he spilt it on the hall carpet and then there was more up the stairs and he tried to clean it with Aerial fabric stain remover (again I'm just assuming as he denied using anything but an almost full spray is now almost empty). We were out and I didn't notice the marks until the following day. I shampooed it and it all came up. And then the marks came back, but grey rather than orange. I think some sticky residue from the sauce has impregnated the fibres and is now picking up any dirt. It's now been cleaned three times. Plus something was spilt in front of the sofa that Tom and M were sitting on yesterday, and there was also a spillage on the arm of the sofa in the week. Just over a week ago something had been spilt - tea I think - and ignored all across the landing so that had to be cleaned.

I told him no food and drink upstairs and his reply was "No."

Oh heck Jo :? :(

I've given up on our carpets, there are so many marks on them now from the dogs, Mick (his art makes mess even though he tries not to) and general wear and tear. Whoever thought cream carpets were a practical option must be nuts! Mick vax'es fairly often but they never look properly clean. I want a nice darkish mink colour all through the house, but it will have to wait a while. Maybe later this year, maybe not until next
