Not sure Osc, yet. She's from California and she mentioned that he's from somehere the back of beyond. They have a house in New Zealand and also a farm in the middle of Beaujolais or was it Burgandy? area of France, but they want warmth for the winter.

I'm actually looking forward to meeting them both - she and have have talked on the phone several times now.

So far today I have lost a nail file - okay, no big deal - but also a cloth for cleaning glass. And I have not got a clue where they are.

We've checked the fridge

So earlier in the week the missing earring showed up...and then John was looking intently down at the kitchen floor on Wednesday and said "is that the back off your earring?" and sure enough it was - and before you think it, the floor had been swept and mopped many times since I'd lost it
I think it must've got stuck in my black bobble hat which I hadn't worn that since last week, it must've shook loose when I used it again.

Tunes. Where are they?
Joe's had a rotten cold all week, the worst I ever remember him having, and every day I've been in search of sweets, remedies and potions to try and help him. This morning I realised that in every shop I've been in, I've not seen Tunes. Lockets are pretty hard to find too.

I've just complained to Royal Mail. They introduced a new delivery system here at the end of last year. We lost our regular and reliable postie and now have a van with two men. On the plus side the post is generally here by late morning BUT everything is folded in two when pushed into the letterbox. I say 'into' because nothing actually ever gets pushed fully through, so everything is bent in half and left in the letterbox so doesn't get chance to straighten out on the floor. I ordered screen protectors for my Dad's new phone last week and they were delivered in a small (C6?) envelope but when I opened them, because the envelope had been folded and stuck in the letterbox, they were bent and creased and therefore unusable.
