We're having Chinese takeaway for dinner tonight - requested by my children.

They never have takeaways with us as they always say they don't like them but they went to a friends the other night and they had a takeaway there. Because they were at someone else's house they tried it and liked it.

I am so hungry - and so relieved that I don't have to cook. Particularly as I have just spent nearly two hours topping and tailing blackcurrants!!

I've been eating bilberries fresh off the bushes as we've walked Billy on Cannock Chase :D
I need to go back with a container so that my Mom can make one of her gorgeous bilberry pies :)

We could have joined you as we fetched Delia from somewhere very close to Cannock - Norton Canes.

I wish I'd know - that's 4 or 5 miles away from me!

L has come home from school wearing a pedometer. It is for a topic they are doing and the person who takes the most steps gets a prize of some sort.

L is currently sitting on a chair in the garden, drinking milkshake with her feet up on the table throwing a ball for the dog, who is charging around like a lunatic.

The pedometer is attached to the dog.......................

I am off to Frankie and Bennys (wish me luck - I don't like Franky and Bennys).

It is the Yr 6 leavers meal. The staff always take them for a meal in the last few days of term (parents pay, staff take them).

As there are only 9 of them it wasn't worth paying for a mini bus so two of the parents who have people carriers are driving - Jo and Julie, my really good friends and comrades in arms from the PTA over the last few years.

They rang to say why didn't I go along too and we could have our own leaving meal.

So the plan is that the children sit on one table, the staff sit on a table very close by and we will go and sit ourselves far away from them (don't want to embarrass our children) and have our own little leaving do.

7 more days of being a parent of a primary school child left. :o :o :o
