Yes, five years older and we'd have been ok It does seem unfair to suddenly have the goalposts changed when you are already past 50 I know the younger ones have it even tougher as they will be even older, but at least they will have been aware of that for many years so will make plans accordingly. We had this dropped on us - I'd always expected to get mine at 60, as you will also have done

I can take my nhs pension at 60, which I'm going to go, but now have to wait, like you, until I'm 66. As they've already changed mine twice - I would be more than miffed if they made it 67 or even longer
