Mental issues or not, it's still a horrible thing to happen.

In a perverse sort of way, I would personally be happier knowing that there was at least some sort of link or "reason" (if I can use that word) behind the vandalism, than it were a totally, totally random incident. I'm not in any way excusing the perpetrator, but at least I'd be somewhat "relieved" knowing who it actually was. IYSWIM.

I was going to say similar, Ossie. Cold comfort, but at least the police now know who was responsible, and hopefully he can get some help with his obvious problems.

I hope it helps D a little bit.

Poor lady Kaz.
It maybe is a bit easier in a way, for her and her neighbours too, to know who it was (((x)))

Well at least D has some sort of answer now. I do hope this 'event' hasn't put her off helping others. It is still a nasty shock and it must have shaken her up, poor thing (((((((((((D))))))))))

I'd think that too, and I hope that the person involved will now be getting help with his problems.

Thanks everyone.

Well he has been charged and bailed! Part of his bail conditions are that he is not to go near D's house, but he is free until his court date :( Can't say I'm very happy about that, I don't think he is fit to be out, but there it is :(

B was bewildered as to why this man would do what he did, but she is ok. I can understand what you are saying about it being better to know, but I'm not sure I agree. Before it was just a random act, that could have happened to anyone, now there is someone with a grudge (although goodness knows why) who knows where she lives :? :(
