Jan, what a worry for you. Fingers crossed for a swift good outcome.

Same as yesterday. There is no coughing it up, it just appears.

I can't make him do something he doesn't want to, even though I've tried.

How odd Jan. John has had the same happen a couple of times since Christmas and he even had an endoscopy last week (and spat out blood that morning) and it was clear, no sign of where the blood had come from. No irritation or damage to be seen.

Weird is the right word Jo. The doc couldn't find anything on Monday.

Glad he's okay xx

Thanks, he’s opted to have another test yet though.
He had Nissen Fundoplication surgery around 15 year ago because he had severe reflux. The endoscopy showed no problems with it but he saw his consultant last night, he’s got private health care through work so we went to the Bupa hospital at Little Aston - a world away from the NHS, the free coffee machine was a marvel! He said he could either leave it as the endoscopy showed no issues but on the very small chance that the surgery has loosened a bit he can have a 24 hour pH test (tube down his throat) to check if any acid is escaping and causing irritation so he thought he might as well have that.

Best to get it checked out, as a private thing.

It’s been a mix of NHS and private, Jan.
The endoscopy appointment was at New Cross in Wolverhampton, an NHS appointment through his GP, but in the meantime he’d seen the private consultant who said that he might as well go ahead with it as there was less of a waiting time but to just send the results through to him! Now the consultant is referring him back to the NHS, Heartlands in Birmingham, for the test because it’s not something they do at the Bupa hospital.
