We were all "at the limit" because that's what we do. 70 is just too much for some things, it is what it is. At least I have FC insurance. ;) :D

Whoopeee, I have just got a new car (to me).

It is seven to eight years younger than my old one. Two owners, two keys, 2000 miles since its last service, MOT till September, 63k on the clock, full service history with dealer stamps, and only just over £1,000 more than my old one once the insurance payout is taken into consideration. I get it on Monday after its pre-sale and insurance inspection.

I have had a drive and it goes well. No warning lights, simple controls, five gears, aircon, heated front seats, 1400 cc.... and blue.

I had tried a few dealers around Leeds and was not impressed, but when I was driving home I saw this one that did not come up on the Internet. 'OK, why not?' thought I, so in I went. The car just caught my eye... It's a Chevrolet. Not a '63 Impala, but you can't have everything. ;)

Relief... just to get rid of the Fiat 500 hire car! What a dog. Too small. No power. Six gears - up, down, and up again. Brakes are nothing or full on. Knobs, buttons, dials and levers everywhere. More tech than the USS Enterprise and no Chekov or Sulu to help out.

Give me simple and I'm happy. ;) :D

On your "roads" and absolute must. ;)

Tank-tracks would also help.
