The accent thing always makes me laugh - at previous meets in the Femail days, there were lots and lots of remarks about my Irish accent, and nobody else seemed to realise that they had English accents that I sometimes struggled to understand Aggers, I'm sure there will be a more concise thread with firm details nearer the time

That's it though Osc, nobody regards their own voice as having an accent do they - everyone else has one Mick was a bit indignant when the plumber at our Egham house remarked on Mick's strong West Country accent! He said to me afterwards that the plumber - who was a local lad to Egham, with a London accent - was the one with the strong accent Not to me he wasn't, as that's my accent!

Aggers it will be lovely to meet your wife, anyone is welcome to bring along their other half if they'd like to. Of course we can confirm details, nearer the day

Oh Kaz I am sorry I have to disagree - I KNOW I have an accent It can be quite an embarrassment when in the company of 'well spoken' people, my vowels are very flat and if I ever hear myself on tape I think I sound awful!

Maybe it's just as well I won't be able to make the meet after all

I hate my accent but even worse is the Ulster "refained" accent which is just cringe making. If you are watching The Fall then you know what I sound like. I won't be at the meet unfortunately so you will never know.

So do I Frank.. Booked at the Premier £49.00, asked the operator to ring me back, it would have taken me ages to complete the booking. He was lovely named Shaun in Luton if any one needs a helpful chap who works for the company.. See you all there!!
