I am very grumpy.

It is gorgeous out. I could be spending the afternoon riding, walking the dog or digging at the allotment. Instead, I have yet another chair of governors thing to attend. It isn't due to finish until around 4pm so I will have to dash home, take the dog on a very quick walk (poor thing, she's been shut in all day as Mick is away she couldn't go with him), get the recycling out and the dinner done in time for me to go out at 7pm for my Bokwa class.

Roll on November when I can finish (thats when the AGM is) and thank the lord for the six week summer break!

I don't feel I should. The AGM is in November and I feel it's only right to stay until then. It just feels wrong to leave early for no reason other than I'm sick of it.

My plan is that someone else will have come forward to do it before school ends in Juky and then I can work with them from September til the meeting in November, stepping back more and more until finally finishing in the November.

I haven't decided whether to stand down as a governor or not. I have 2.5 years left as my term as community governor. I'm happy to carry on with that as long as I don't get dragged in to do chair stuff. Community governor involves 4 evening meeting s a year (approx 3 hours per meeting plus trip to pub) and around 8 one hour meetings a year - plus any jobs I might be allocated. I'll probably stay to see his it goes but if I find it's still time consuming I'll stand down early.
