It's mad! He must be about 70 though? He was a contemporary of my Aunty Pam - Zoe's mum - at Ealing Art College, as were some of the Who before they were famous. Aunty P lived in the same building as Pete Townsend for a while, they were friends Aunty P would have been 70 this year! Sadly she died at around my age, mid 50s, of BC
I posted this on fb as it made me giggle - much needed at the moment! Was looking up recipes on the BBC Good food website and reading the reviews, and for one of them, in amongst 30-odd comments was this one:
"I made this last night and then dropped it all over the kitchen floor. All I can say is it is really easy to make, smells great, and my dog seemed to like it."
I just took Billy for a quick walk around the block...but we ended up walking right around the village and got home an hour later. The rain has stopped but the wind was getting stronger and stronger as we walked, but it's not a cold biting wind. I've felt a colder wind on Bude beach in the middle of Summer.
Last Wednesday, Mr. Osc says to me "Let's have ham hocks for dinner on Saturday, will you get some when you're at the shops". Good little wifey does it.
Last night, he looks at them soaking in water and says "Why did you buy ham hocks?" I reply "You asked me to". He says "But I meant lamb shanks" Mind reading is not one of my skills
Mind you, the hocks were lovely this evening with mash and cauliflower and plenty left over for a nice risotto tomorrow!
