Jo..seeing as we both know Brum shall we say The Old Joint Stock then for the meet?
Would that be ok with you? :)

With the definite date June the 25th it would be nice to get the venue finalised and then those that are staying over can concentrate on hotel bookings. :D :D

Ooooooooh...getting giddily excited!

I think it'd be ideal Ally, there are hotels nearby and it's close to the station...plus it's a lovely place!

I don't know Birmingham that well, but the old Joint Stock sounds a good place.

Here's a link to it......

I won't be needing accomodation, as a bus or taxi can get me home easily.

So, Old Joint Stocks on Tuesday, June 25th. Finalised, done, settled.

Now, what about hotels? Are we each booking our own to suit, or are we going for a block booking?

Just had a look on google maps and there is a Premier Inn just around the corner - stumbling distance  on Waterloo Road. Just had a look on their website (and also called them) and their rooms if you book now as a non refundable are £49 or if you want the option to cancel it's £79 per night. They don't do group discounts unfortunately, but there are twin rooms available if anyone wanted to share to reduce the costs.

The prices above are for room only but if you wanted to add breakfast it would be an additional £8.50

The person I spoke to on the phone said they have got a few rooms available - I was asking about 10 and that was fine

I don't know the area at all, but as said the hotel is really close to the pub which is always a bonus :)

Excellent, thanks Ria :D I need Mick to decide if he's coming or not. Will ask him tonight 8-) If not I would definitely want a room there - on my own though I think, as there is an evil rumour that I snore after a glass of wine

Great minds.... :D

This is the one Ria was looking at: http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/BIRS ... loo-street

By coincidence I was looking at it last time I posted.
