Oh dear Shell, it does sound as if he really needs to rest :? :( If he has the runs he needs to keep up his fluids too.....maybe some dioralyte (sp?) might be an idea ((((x))))

Hugs for you too ((((Gal))) I have another that won't be ill, he seems to see it as an admission of weakness  ;)

He also needs to try and keep his fluid intake up or he will be getting dehydrated.

Well now I don't know if we are over reacting, but he said the pain seems worse again tonight, it hurts in his stomach after he stops weeing and he is shivering again. He has also developed a cough (??)

So we have rung out of hours and he has an appointment for 9.25pm. My friend who is a GP said "I would leave it 2-3 days and then go back" but I'm not happy.

But are we over reacting?

Shell, why on earth would you think that? You posted about Tim on Saturday after he had been suffering for four days. It is now nearly a week and he is not really improving. I would say it is sensible to keep on top of this, especially with his complaints about the pains. Pain does not appear for no reason, it is an indication that something is not right. Best wishes for some good news this evening.

Exactly what WM said. Gone on for too long, and no, you're not over-reacting.

Hope it can be cleared up soon and he is feeling better.

I think you're right too, if they say it's fine to wait and see then fair enough.
When I had the gastroenteritis no-one could believe it could go on that long, but it turns out it can and does, but I too was checking with the Dr every few days.
Awful if you're later told, 'oh you should have told us sooner (((x)))
