My Aunty Rose took up the PC about two years ago now, in her early 70s, and now loves using it, but my parents just weren't interested. People are all different - I know people of my age who aren't interested either, my SIL for a start, it isn't just the elderly My sister is another example, two years younger than me she uses the PC at work a great deal - she works in Adult Social Services - but at home really can't be bothered. She has a FB account that she very, very rarely uses (her daughter bullied her into that ) and takes ages to answer personal emails ,,

Ally, my parents are the same as yours. Using a mobile phone is as technical as they get, Dad only got the hang of texting just before Christmas. Like you say, it's not for everyone.

one day i said id love one and with that my friends got the car out
and we went to PC world and that was the start of a whole new world
to be fair B thought it was wonderfull but wouldent get involved with it

I must admit that some modern technology baffles me. I've just been looking at Toshibe Tablets in an Argos sales pamphlet,
and can't understand what these mean.... "Additional features: Android 4.1 Jellybean" on one model. and "Additional features:
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich" on another. Now what the hell do they mean ?

Incidently I visited a new arrival at our retirement lodge recenty, and she was using a laptop and showing me how she plays
a card game on it. She worked the darned thing so fast and so expertly that I was truly amazed. And she is 89 years old.

I suppose it all depends how much time you can afford to spend on the subject.
