Well I've slipped and skidded back from town in heavy snow this morning!
I left the gym and it was raining heavily, walked into town and popped into Poundland and I was 5 minutes at the most in there and by the time I got to the till at the front of the shop the town centre was white over with great big snow flakes falling  It finally stopped about an hour ago, it's not melted yet but it's now very bright and sunny so hopefully it won't stick around for much longer. I was swearing like a navvy in my head as I walked home.

Kaz, I hope that Chris, H and your ex manage to stay safe and aren't badly affected (((((Kaz)))))

Just remember that there is only so much you can do and try (easier said than done I know) to not stress about what just cannot be done. You know you've done your best so take some comfort from that. (((hug)))

Thanks Meri - they very much are in touch these days however, but finding the right person to join us is proving harder than it looks :| Since as a company (small, but with four branches) January was our busiest month ever in 10 years  I think they have finally realised....this morning wasn't too bad.....not sure how this aftie or tomorrow will shape up though

Stay safe in the floods those who are affected xxxx

Afternoon all, been an ok day here so far with just one shower, and some very nice sunshine. We were supposed to be going to the cinema this afternoon but "someone" decided to change his mind - men   So I'll do the ironing and some other stuff. It's horrific watching all the flood coverage on Sky News, hope your boys are ok, Kaz, thinking of you xxx

afternoon all,

*hugs* to those who need them and hope everyone stays safe, this weather is a nightmare for some of you. I have been lucky so far, it was snowing in Edinburgh this afternoon I was told but not here, it is bitterly cold though.

I am in the process of having my new bathroom fitted by the council, the new suite is in, electrician back in the morning to connect the shower and I believe the plasterer is coming to see if anything needs done - a few cracks to be filled. Then I have the job of stripping the walls as some of the paper was marked - I had planned to re-do it but hoped I could get out of it ;) I bought gloss today so will get that done and also go and buy some new vinyl for the floor - hopefully get an off-cut of something nice!

I have also been looking after my friends wee one who is 5months, he is lovely but today has been very grumpy - turns out he has been a bit constipated and his mum just text to say hes ok now! She had some flowers delivered while I was out and the council workmen left them on my table - a thank you from her, they are gorgeous and what a nice surprise! I am having wee Sami tomorrow again and then thats it. Her mum let her down at the last minute, she had nobody else - i know how that feels!

So, Amy has gone to play with her friend, I have hoovered and am now relaxing!

I know Kaz, she has induction for a job this week and her mum contacted her late on Friday to say she wasn't able to take the wee one, his big sister (3) is going to nursery so she is sorted. My friend hasn't left him anywhere before so was quite upset yesterday but better today.

I often thought another baby would be nice, had the odd broody spell - this has put me off, lol!
