If possible it is getting even worse.
The wind is howling and there are sounds of things being
Blown around.
Too scared to look so I have gone to bed.
Do not think I will sleep as it is so noisy.

What a night, what a wind    I just went outside with a torch and it seems that I was really lucky; one fence panel dislodged but I managed to get that back into it's slot (a concrete post) and that seems about it.

Haven't heard anything from my brother yet but had a look at the P&O website; apparently the port reopened this morning at 6am for ships to come in. I just hope he managed to get some sleep on the ferry. The M25 has flood alerts and I'm sure driving conditions will be horrendous. I'll be glad when he gets here!

Hope everyone else is OK?

just heard from Frank - they finally made it into port (nearly 12 hours late)... Thankfully it's getting lighter now so the driving will be a bit easier / safer

I've just been saying to Don..we're only 3 hours away but the difference in weather is amazing.

It's warm and sunny here at 9.30. (Blushing smiley)

Hoping everyone travelling gets safely to their destination..Leilani's parents have landed now from Cape Town.

What a mess
I have hardly slept all night with the noise the wind was
making.
Just been outside to see what damage has been done.
We have tiles off the roof and most things movable in the garden
have moved :D
The house opposite has lost ridge tiles but as the lady has gone
away for the holiday there isn't much we can do.
I think the fence has survived but the rest of the plum tree has
gone :(
Oh well I will get the broom out presently and see if I can clean
things up a bit.
