When I was little my Mother's generation always used to give us jelly and icecream and sometimes fruit salad too - and we always had to have a piece of bread and butter with it. It put me off going out to tea for years!

Mmmmm chesse and onion crisps in a cheese butty

We usually have some sort of crisps in, but at the moment only have a large bag of sweet chilli ones - I bought them on offer but nobody has risked them yet :-P

always had a slice of bread/butter
with tinned peaches and carnation milk
or tinned pineapple chunks /mandrine oranges as well
i never have tinned fruit in the cupboard now
and i love tinned peaches
shopping list for saturday
cheese onion crisps
tin fruit
