Thanks for your kind words.....I don't remember being this upset when Mopsy (then quite old, he was 13) went AWOL, maybe because he'd done it before and I didn't worry as much. Of course I was distraught when Tinker was knocked down, but I at least had closure - he wasn't coming home.

This is just dreadful.....Smudge has never done this before, it's so unlike him! He was always in and out of the house several times a day.....for his four and a half years. You know I feel I have jinxed him - on the Monday night before he went missing, I'd been looking all over for a video I had made of a baby Tinker chasing a screwed up piece of paper - when I found it I posted it to FB and one of the comments I made was that Smudge was gorgeous, but he wasn't Tinker. I love Smudge to pieces, and I feel as though he somehow saw my comment and decided his time with me was over......I know I'm silly to think this but I can't help it.

Sorry x
Gal

Sweetheart that is truly heartbreaking, but you do know that's just a horrid coincidence, don't you? Please go and have a word with the GP I am concerned for you :( xxxxxxx

Oh Gal, like Kaz said it's just an unfortunate coincidence. Smudge couldn't want for a more loving home xx
I'm going to nag, please see your doctor as you're doing your health no favours, you've been low for so long what with the nasty cough that you've had.

Gal: I can understand your feelings regarding the disappearance of your pet. I would feel the same
if I lost a beloved pet. but I am concerned about your health, and I advise you strongly to go and see
your doctor.

Oh Gal, I am so sad for you. Of course Smudge wasn't just a cat, he was a much loved member of your family. Please don't add to your anxiety by thinking you jinxed him, we all have moments when we compare animals and people to be honest. Doesn't mean we don't love them just as much and Smudge was very loved. xxxxxx
