Well we are going home this evening. Both of us shattered, I had a hotel booked and we finally got to it around 4am and we did get some sleep. All tests came up clear and they moved him to an observation ward to await the final blood results, and then we had to wait for the discharge letter. He has had similar doses before over the years but not during the day and this was a bad one. He has been tested before too to no avail.
You should be proud of your NHS, if this was at home we would possibly still be there and it is a horrible dirty place. I am humbled by the kindness of strangers, people on the train were so lovely including a paramedic who got off with us and stayed until a young local nurse came along and said she would stay with us. Also the station staff were so nice and everyone in the hospital. Hanging around now until we bravely attempt to get to Gatwick again
Thank you for all the support and vibes xxxx
