A few years back we had several couples who had sold up in Spain and bought in France. Their reasoning? They could no longer live with having to lower the steel security shutters to protect the house when they went round the back to use the pool.....

The more migrants without money, the more this will happen.

Sad but true...

Thanks Ally, Birmingham eh? Surprise, surprise. :shock: It was very bad in Marbella at one time then the police had a blitz on suspects and it was much better though our villa was never broken into. I got used to and quite like the idea of grills on the doors and ground floor windows, I have put one on the front door here but inside so anyone breaking through the door would be in for a disappointment. :D
