Just had an email about the concerts on the Chase next Summer.
The first artist has been announced. Jessie J
Fingers crossed that the second artist will be worth going to see.

I'm not going, not to see her anyway! The concerts are on two nights so there's still another artist to be named.
Just got to hope the wind isn't blowing in this direction the night she's on. We could hear V from Weston Park last Summer - Beyflippin'once

My MIL lives quite near to Kingsholm Rugby Stadium where Gloucester play. We could hear Tom Jones from her garden last summer - the old boy can still belt it out :D

Shame Jo :(

Minnie made us laugh :D Bb often has to go to the postbox down the road, and sometimes I do. If either of us mentions the postbox she jumps up, all ready to go with us - it was one of the lovely things we noticed when she was getting better :)
So this afternoon, he said to me, I'll have to take this stuff to the post office, did you need me to get anything in town? - and there she was, jumped up, ran around, went to the door, wouldn't leave him alone :D
She has quite a vocabulary of words she knows, and it's noticeable that she 'gets' them even without any emphasis, or addressing them to her :D

He spent five minutes saying No, post OFFICE Minnie, it's not the same...
He ended up taking her in the car :D :x :D

Oh bless her Di!! :)

How strange though, I only have to say post office in front of Billy and he runs around excitedly and then and waits in the utility room for his lead and once out, drags me there

It's easy to see how eg, guide dogs do some of their training though, isn't it? They'd recognise 'post office', 'butcher', 'paper shop' etc without too much trouble, and remember the various routes :)

Remember adorable blind Ollie I looked after for the week?

His lead would be hanging up on the back door and all we had to say was 'tap taps' and he would come belting through, sliding on the tiles every time which made me howl with laughter, then he would come skidding to a halt right by the door and wait for his lead to go on.
