At least you still get to cook for them when they visit Saundra :)

Knock on the door just now, with a little packet I had to sign for; I wasn't expecting anything...
Lovely surprise :D
We changed broadband last week and this was my £75-worth of Love to Shop vouchers that were part of the deal :D
As soon as I feel like that drive again I shall be off to spend them - I shall have winter clothes that fit :D
Didn't think they'd come that quickly, it said 30 days after activating the a/c I think :)

As much as I love our little online community it really frustrates me sometimes.

For example, at the moment I am sat here with a cup of coffee, sat typing away on the laptop. I know that Jo is doing similar as she has just responded to a post I did.

Its not fair. I don't want to be typing comments for Jo to comment back on. I want to be sitting in the same room, having a cup of coffee together and a natter.

Its so frustrating.

Well. It's 3.05pm. British Gas are due to come to service the boiler between 2pm and 4pm so just past half way through their time.

This is now the fifth time I have tried to arrange this appointment. The four times previously the engineer has rung the day before to cancel and rearrange to another date - none of which have been convenient for me so I have had to ring them back (after hunting out the number as the numpty never bothered to leave one on the answerphone) to rearrange.

In between times they have had the audacity to send me out a letter reminding me that my annual service check is overdue. I know you plonker - I have been trying to get them out since around July and your waste of space of an engineer always cancels.

I have always tried to be kind before and made it for a day when I know the parking on the lane won't be too bad. Today the parking is a nightmare (not all the houses along the lane have their own drive and places to park on the lane are very, very limited) so he will have to park lower down the lane and actually WALK. That'll no doubt give him something to moan about.

Edited to say I spoke too soon. He has just rung me to say that he is in Winster and is running 10 minutes late and will it be okay if he comes just after 4pm. I don't mind that as he has checked and not just assumed. Will be fun though as he says he doesn't know where we are as he doesn't usually work in this area - he'll have a hell of a job finding us with his sat nav - it doesn't show our lane on them. We don't exist!!!! They usually bring you to the bottom of the lane and then just stop!!!!
Lets see if he turns up this time. I am assuming that he will as he hasn't rung to cancel - but I will be very cross if he comes after 4pm as I will be sorting out dinner and helping with homework. In fact, if he does arrive after 4pm I might send him away with a flea in his ear!

Did you know that if you place things in an aluminium frying pan on the stove they will thaw quicker? And 'No', you do not turn the stove on.
