Packet or granules here usually, unless I'm cooking a joint or a chicken ;) :D

Packet?
Wouldn't that just be the same as an oxo cube plus cornflour, or bisto granules, for several times the price? :?

We had Strictly Saturday pizza, but without the Strictly
There was a cricket match on, international all stars, in New York, it was fun :)

We traditionally have a slow-cooker soup on a Saturday evening, with Mrs O reserving some to heat up for Sunday's tea as well.

Today it was lentil, celery, carrot and bacon lardons, thickened with chicken stock taken from last week's Sunday roast.

We ended up with the canapés, a lovely starter consisting of pitta bread, three sorts of dips and some veggie crudités, oxtail stew (which was lush and we still have plenty left) and a sublime treacle tart.

Our guests left about 30 mins ago and the dishwasher is on and I've just come to bed.
