Thats awful Jo.

You need to send your pictures to the manufacturer (if you know who it is) and complain.

I had a large Pyrex jug do that to me once, one minute it was just sitting there as it had done all day, and the next I was sweeping it off the floor. I had only had it about a week. The supermarket replaced it for me, and it's replacement is fine still.

Long ago we had an arcroc glass dinner set. I was standing in the corner of the kitchen making coffee, flat ate was making dinner, why, I don't know, but he put a plate of ingredients on the stove, then turned the element on to start cooking. Only he turned the wrong one on, and within a minute I was showered with exploding glass. Thankfully I was fine, and my friend who was not in the kitchen was able to fetch us shoes and a boom so we could sweep our way out. It was takeaways that night.
