Morning all, pleasant enough here, clouds and sun, but the forecast is for lots of rain later and over the weekend - it's a bank holiday weekend here. H/work today and I want to make some notes about the dances I will be judging on Sunday, I have a list of the music and the dances the couples are doing.

Managed to get our home insurance sorted - we were with Axa for car and other house, but I was astounded yesterday when they quoted me €599 For some reason everywhere I looked online for quotes, they were spooked by a 100 year old building However, Miss Osc told me yesterday about an online broker firm based in Galway, so I got a very good online quote from them last night, which came down even further when they phoned me this morning. Finally got it for €413 with everything we wanted. I will be going back to them when the car insurance is due in December! I've always been terrible for shopping around but no more!

Ally, we did a four hour trip by Greyhound the last time we were in the US, and I wondered how people coped with the really long trips, 24 hours and more, they have there, especially before wifi. It was an interesting four hours
