I usually have three mugs of tea with my breakfast.
Then a mug of black coffee mid morning. A large glass of diluted lime cordial at lunch. another drink during the afternoon. Could be fruit juice or black coffee again. Then three mugs of tea at dinner.
Tonight I have had two glasses of wine instead of tea. Have now finished the bottle so it will be back to tea tomorrow.
We never have a night cap.
Different drinking habits when we are cruising. Lots of wine or whiskey before during and after dinner. Coffee and fruit juice for breakfast, coffee mid morning. Lemon drink at lunch. Tea in the afternoon.

When we get off the ship we will have coffee and I will have a beer and mrs.e will have wine.

I should be on a diet to try and get my cholestrol down. But as I keep telling the nurse who checks my blood, I am enjoying myself while I can.

I am glad this came up as I do not drink enough water, though I do have three big mugs of coffee in a morning. I also do fresh juices, usually cherry, but even then I do not think it is as much as I should drink.

Same here; not enough plain water. I do drink an awful lot of coffee and tea however, probably a mug every couple of hours on average (legacy of working in an office ....). I don't do juices apart from tomato because of the sugar content.

Pass the Lea and Perrins - Bloody Mary, anyone?

All liquids count; water content is best. Basically, if your wee is very light-coloured, that's ok. If it's at all orangey or darker, you definite need more water ;)

I drink a pint of warm water with lemon juice every morning. Several cups of tea and the odd glass of weak squash

That's right Di, about your wee. Best way to tell if you're drinking enough fluids 8-) :)

Shell, my sister also drinks a pint of water with lemon every morning and she has the most beautiful skin, quite remarkable for a woman in her early 50s! I can't face lemon that early in the day

On average I will drink up to 6-8 pints a day usually with sugar free cordial in it.

I did a bit of reading up when this appeared and it seems that the best advice is that if urine is clear or champagne colour everything is fine, so that is the amount of fluids (not only water) that should be taken. If it is dark or pungent take more fluids, if not, things are OK.

A lot depends on lifestyle, activity and diet - veg, fruit and other foods - they all contain fluids; it's not just drinks.
