Yep. When I had the injury the pressure of the VH dropped and the retina peeled away. The 'seeing out the corner of the eye' is why I have a divergent squint. TBH it is better that the eye is now 'blind' rather than having two images (double vision).

I really do understand how hard it is for Bb to live with it. Would an eye patch help?

Wm, Eyesight is the most precious sense and losing normal vision must be hard to live with.
Seems you have a good doctor and hospital.
My optician referred me for a second opinion when I went to see him in February. Saw a consutlant eye specialist in April. Had a pre-op in May and hopefully I will have an operation in July to remove a cataract. Cant complain about that service.
I can;t detect any change in my vision with or without glasses which I need for reading and usuing the PC.

He's kind of used to it Wm, and the hope is it will gradually separate and leave the eye ok.
Nothing can be done to either help or stop it unfortunately, as I'm sure you know.

Thanks all. The drops are working brilliantly, certainly with the pain.

I had a phone back from the doctor's surgery this morning and have been advised to dry my face with paper towels and then bin them as the infection is highly contagious.

Debih, sit to my right, but I have to ask: Would I recognise that you were pulling faces?

Just back from our Eastbourne holiday, Frank, and have just read this thread.

Sorry to hear about your eye trouble, Frank. but glad you had such good service.
