Ha ha, we quite like BGT, there are some good acts this year

Switched over once that was done, more than early enough

When the boys were younger we used to do a whole Eurovision evening, made them have score-charts and everything...

I do have really fond memories of DM days, we once had a Eurovision party. One of the boards was about to be scrapped so the bosses agreed we could take it over for the evening. I don't remember my name but I was a middle-European competitor. I had plaited armpits and was a strict teetotaller who very much enjoyed the 'fruit punch'. KP Crispie had to steer me onstage to sing my song about saving the World by being vegan and then fed me bacon butties

Actually I thought the UK tune was quite catchy - I like tunes from that era. I thought it would do better than it actually did. I hate those shouty ballads so popular with the eastern European countries.

We actually watched some of it - and the voice-overs from the Portuguese commentators were lovely, we didn't even see them

Loved the italian entry, but then I do like that sort of thing.

Some of them were quite good, weren't they? Some were rubbish, of course

I thought the standard was quite good, sadly it went downhill at the end until Italy.

The UK did deserve more than 5 points

I thought the standard was not bad at all, with far fewer novelty acts than in previous years. The UK definitely deserved to do far better than it did
