I think that you are more right than he is, but he's a bloke, so will know best.

Thanks both. I think he is on the mend, but he has never been this poorly and he needs to allow himself time to recover, but he won't, I bet he'll be back at work Monday

Tim must rest, sleep and drink plenty of water. Does the Dr know he has been shivering.? I get lots of urine infections and they all have been treated with aBs. Several times I have had to go back into hospital if they don't improve. Urine infections are nasty things and you can be very ill with them. Please convince him not to go back to work until he really feels better.

Well he now has diarrhoea, caused I presume by the antibiotics. He says he thinks he would feel better without that. So still rushing to the loo

Oh poor Tim, he really isn't having a good time at the moment. I can't add to what has been said - I totally agree with you Shell that he should rest and take it easy - but Tim sounds like my brother in that he has to be really really really unwell before they don't go to work :? daft, the lot of them.

Sending get better vibes Shell; hope he's feeling loads better soon

Poor Tim :(

I know exactly what you mean about the men in our lives being massive PITAs....they just won't listen to us more knowledgable women, and then we get accused of nagging when we stress how important rest is when they are ill

We are still a poorly house. T did actually go to work on Tuesday morning but only till about 11am as he had taken a half day anyway to take a van load of dogs to Sheffield in the afternoon to race....he was burning up all over the easter weekend, but he didn't go to the walk in or anything, just took paracetamol. Also shivery, flu like symptoms. I got him a GP appt on Tuesday and she gave him amoxycillin and a nasal spray for his headaches (?!) and he ended up taking the rest of the week off sick, which is actually almost unheard of! He rang work on Friday and said he was going back Monday (tomorrow) but although he does feel a little better he is not right at all. So we had words last night because he got a call at 7.15pm from the mage PITA that is Steve (at the farm) asking him if he'd pop across and see to the dogs.....he's been back this morning in the cold and damp, much to my complete frustration and annoyance, and is currently asleep in bed.

Bloody men!!!!

I hope Tim does the right thing and stays home longer to rest MM xx

Tie him to the bed, with just enough leeway that he can get to the loo.

Seriously, hope he's feeling better soonest, sounds a nasty thing.
