Still tipping it down here too, supposedly going to clear up but at the moment they're reading out loads of flood problems on the local radio.
The main road from here to Southampton for one, and Bb's got to go that way but the only (very long) possible diversion would take him to a worse flood so he'll just have to hope it stops raining pdq and it goes down
The hospital is off the exact spot where it's worst (under the railway bridge, very narrow too) so I feel sorry for those with appointments today.

The awful shootings in Paris upset me too, it's a different turn of events isn't it

Spent yesterday really wiped out after the jab on Tuesday but already feeling better today. I did get the 10-bean chilli made, so tonight's dinner's sorted

It is absolutely tipping it down here and has been all night
Went back to bed for an extra hour as there was no point in going
out.
I think i will clean the fridge next as it is Don`s 80th birthday this
month so will need room for food etc if family are coming to see him.
I hope they do as that is all he wants--all the family together for one
day

Afternoon all. Nice and bright here but chilly. Been busy since we got up, phone calls, some baking and I've been out to post a letter and get some milk. In a while, we'll be heading out to the house as Sky are coming to fit our new dish. Very frustrating, I told them in early September and three subsequent phone calls that we NEED a new box as ours is on its last legs - but guess what, a new box is not on the job sheet for today Phoned this morning, she couldn't change the job on the system, I'm so annoyed as I was told it would all be done as part of our "home move" engineer visit. Now we have to wait until tomorrow to book another call out with the new box. I'll be talking to the "Loyalty team" because it's not as if we decided just last night that we needed a new box, we have been having trouble with it for over a year and all our phone calls are recorded in their system [/rant]

We will be assessing the state of play as to the possibility of moving in on the 19th, can't see it happening and I have already emailed the agent to see if this place is available for another week or two just in case, then we will be in touch with the builder outlining what needs to be finished before we will move in.

Then we will pop in to see Miss Osc and the children before coming home for a quiet evening, Mr Osc has already made a rather nice looking fish pie. Have a good day everyone
