I made a similar misjudgement yesterday with a very young looking mum and her 15 year old son - he was trying glasses on and said he looked gorgeous in all of them, and I said that was a lovely thing for a big sister to say
Tbf, his sister who is 18 was also booked in for a test later and their mum does look the spitting image of her
Happy birthday to M, Kaz, hope you have enjoyed your lunch out
Safe journey home Di - I am shocked that you are heading home, it's never a week since you went????
Well - I think we can safely say last night was a success
T brought both children over from the party about 7pm and we had a couple of weird hours where we couldn't find Lily's colic drops and the bottles were all different with different fittings and some teats weren't free flowing so she struggled to get any milk out...but we bathed her and put her babygro on and she laid on the mat cooing and smiling (we both anticipated separation anxiety from D, tears at the very least! but she was fine!
)Took her to bed and into her cot about 10 and she soon dropped off
Lewis had an accident in bed in the night but I anticipated this and he had a waterproof sheet on which I whipped off after the event and he had a nice dry bed underneath
Lily woke a couple of times in the night, first time she felt cold so we put her in with us and she dropped off till almost 5am when we gave her a bottle and then she dropped off again until 7.30
Tom was up by then walking the dogs and Lewis came in for a cuddle....seemed a shame when mum and dad came to get them
D had missed Lily lots though...
Lewis is such a big help!
I was struggling to get bottles ready this morning and Lily was hungry, I'd popped her into her seat while I busied myself in the kitchen, without being asked, Lewis started singing to her and dangling her toys in front of her until she stopped crying.....isn't that sweet?
Since then I have had a loads of washing to do and h/w, then T and Amy went to the match, so Jen and I have been out for lunch
Been a gorgeous, crisp bright sunny day here - bet it's cold tonight!!
