Di (and others) I envy you your weather....up here in the North East we have had a week of grey skies and drizzle, it's very depressing :( Yesterday afternoon though we got a glimpse of sunshine and then today there is a bit more, but still quite cloudy, and a lot fresher! :( I even put the heating on last night for a while

Jen is home! She got back from Paris on Friday but stayed with a friend in Leeds overnight. I thought she'd be heading home around 4ish but she was enjoying the day so she finally arrived in Durham at half past nine! I was there to pick her up and we shared a pizza that we picked up en route home but after eating it she was so tired she went to bed....Seems like they've had a good time but she isn't a warm weather girl at all and it was almost 30 degrees while they were there - pretty warm!!

Sorry to hear you are still suffering Saundra, hope the new meds help x

Hope the weekend party girls are having fun!

Enjoy your shopping trip Ally, sounds fun, and Loz, a walk is what I hope we'll be doing today - Tom's been so busy lately we've not really done much of that sort of thing, although we did get a lovely visit from the grandkids yesterday, I got a long cuddle with Lily, which included changing her and giving her a bottle 8-) :D :D

Just put a darks wash on, and the cloud has thickened up again

Have a smashing Sunday all xx

Good morning all, it's gorgeous here - very sunny but not too warm, lovely walking weather which is why Billy and I have been out for nearly 90 minutes  We saw his Ridgeback friend so he ran around with her for a while and then he played with three gorgeous 6 months old Collie pups :D

The washing that I did on Friday night is finally on the line, no chance of it drying yesterday. I've just made fresh coffee and when I've finished that and posted this I'll make a cake before hoovering. It's Jambalaya for lunch today. I've got the ingredients ready to go when John gets home from his bike ride.

Had a lovely afternoon at my sister's new house yesterday. The house is gorgeous! It's almost at the top of a valley with wonderful views across to the farmland and woodland on the other side of the valley - I kept finding myself gazing out of the patio doors while we were sitting in the living room - and from the front, from the way the house is positioned, you can see right over the town of Burton. The garden is fabulous, it's tiered with a large patio, then there are steps down to a large lawn and more steps from there down to some decking and garden which is hidden behind some hedging. That's another large area which Roger's going to turn that into a veg garden. John and Joe have offered to go and help him as there's a lot of gravel to be moved in order for him to get his veg garden, and the main lawn needs replacing too.

I need to look at the diary and sort out a date to take Joe to London and also a weekend when John and I can go away. Also need to decide where we're going to go. We seem to have so much planned though over the next few weekends.

Oh Saundra, you poor thing :( Fingers crossed you cope better with these antibiotics and that they'll do the trick xxx

Glad you've settled in well Osc!

Hope that Kaz and Ria are having a fab time!

Glad that Minnie's better today Di :D

Have a good day all!

Gal this week we've had a fair bit of dull and cloud too, but enough sunshine to keep me going, and today is beautiful :)

Osc that's brilliant, do hope you get to see them :D

Saundra you poor thing (((x)))

Bb's mum came and we spent well over an hour sorting out her tablet for her - she's had it and been using it quite a while but never set it up properly. Now she should be fine :)
She's well used to computers, but work stuff, not social and it's quite different isn't it, if you've never done it. She's been on fb a while but was going in via the internet address for instance, didn't have the actual fb app. And she wanted a game or two, so we've done that too.
She doesn't dare ask Bb's dad to help as he's well known for messing up his own laptop, she'd rather wait and bring it to us :D

She arrived soon after we'd had our bacon butties and hasn't been gone long (they were going to another birthday lunch, a big group), so nothing else has happened yet :D

Good afternoon all.

Sorry I'm late, but we've been rather busy, as we are off on a fortnight's holiday to our
holiday cottage near Droitwich next Friday, and we're making a start sorting out what
we will be taking.

Also, the oven on our electric cooker has packed up {we have ordered a new one, which
is coming on Tuesday), so, as I'm the expert on grilling, it has fallen on me to take over
as Head Cook today.

Now I'm taking a well-earned rest.
