Autumn, the season of .......

we used to have bats... I need to keep an eye open and see if they are still flying about. When they tore down a number of older bungalows at the end of the road to make way for a new development I remember there was an issue with bats and the building was delayed until the bat colony had moved elsewhere (apparently into a house across the road?) but thinking about it now, I haven't seen that many since the building works have finished But they used to fly about the front area of the house more than the back where I usually sit

I love Autumn, too.

The changing colours of the trees, the rustling of fallen leaves beneath your feet,
the appearance of members of the wonderful world of fungi, and the knowledge
that the 'C' season will soon be here.

Spiders don't scare me at all - even those huuuuge ones It's deffo the fluttery noises from the craneflies and moths, I also have a bird phobia so it has to be that

I really love Autumn. It's taking me ages to walk Billy because the blackberry bushes are full of fruit and it'd be a shame to leave it to ruin...I haven't managed to get any conkers yet but have found a tree over the common that's got a lot on it, waiting to fall. The leaves are falling too and I love to kick them as I walk.
It's still so warm though!

I have been collecting conkers, pine cones and hazel nuts as I want to do something like this

It would make a lovely autumn display I think

Please do. It's a nice idea isn't it? I think I might get a small branch of rosehips too and curl it round the inside of the glass to add a bit of colour

Loz, I used to do that with conkers at our old house and then at Christmas I'd change them over to pine cones
In Summer I'd use pebbles that we'd collected on the beach
