Has the poorly car been fixed? Hope it wasn't too expensive.
When you drive your parents car, are you a named driver on their insurance policy? You may only be covered for third party insurance if you are using the cover on your own car insurance.

Hopefully it was nothing too drastic - the mechanic put something in the radiator and it seems to have done the trick.

Yes - I am a named driver on the in laws car. :D
