Beautiful here - can't stop, we have a date with the seafront just along the coast, a dip for Minnie, a lovely walk, followed by a bacon buttie at the loveliest cafe on the front :D
Hope you feel better soon Poll, have a good day all

Kaz - yes - updated on Families board :D

I am still really poorly...feels like flu as I tried to do a couple of jobs yesterday (bed making etc) and got completely exhausted! Seems all I can do is lie and cough :| I seemed to get too hot and was burning up during the night again, I took some paracetamol and wasn't too bad after they kicked in but I'm still very weak and shaky. I am soooo upset as Tom has gone to hospital with Lewis and I wanted to be there with them to visit :( And he's rubbing salt into the wound by sending me photos and saying things like "Ooo I was only supposed to be here for five minutes and I'm still here - class eh?" :( I can't even go to join them now (feeling a tiny bit better than when they left) as he's taken my car and his is horrible to drive :(

We're booked for a Sunday lunch later so hopefully I can get myself sorted for that even though I just want to sleep.....

Have a good Sunday all xxx
Gal

Morning all :D

Hope all the poorly peeps feel much better soon xxx

Had a lovely day yesterday with eldest daughter and two of our grandchildren. J who's 14 had quite a giggle reading all her mother's old school reports  Interestingly she felt teachers back then were quite rude, wonder if that's a pc thing :? Oh and the pizza's and chocolate cake went down extremely well, I'm such a popular grandmother

We're being extremely lazy this morning and have only just got up, methinks all the wine we finished off yesterday evening might have something to do with it  No plans for today, got some washing on the go and have just been out for the papers. Expect there'll be more packing this afternoon and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Aww Gal such a shame, but you don't want to be passing on germs to a whole hospital (((x)))

Yes Saundra, it's been the Bournemouth air festival for the last 4 days, today's the last.
We've seen a few planes; where we went this morning will be much busier now with people watching, even though it's a good few miles up the coast a lot of them go right along :)

Di your morning plans sounded lovely - hope you enjoyed them :D 8-)

Jen that made me LOL  Yes they were 'rude' but I do think children get treated with kid gloves at school these days, a bit of bluntness did us all good I think :D ;)

We've done the food shop - having collected another set of those £15 off vouchers, our weekly shop, including a box of wine, came to £35  Never seen Mick look so happy at a checkout before :P :ugeek:

Bargain :D

Oh yes we sure did thanks Kaz :)
A lot of the actual beach is still closed off (it's where hundreds of beach huts were smashed to bits in the storms), but plenty still open.
We found a stick for Minnie so after quite a decent walk she had a lovely time going into the sea for that :)
She sploshed, she swam and she surfed - the tide was coming in :D
We had to tell her no more, to make sure she didn't do too much :)

The toasted bacon sarnies were £4, and coffee £1.50, but for £5.50 you could have a whole breakfast, so we did :D
Sausage, bacon, egg, tomato, mushrooms, beans and fried bread - and toast & marmalade - and tea or coffee :D
Can't remember when we last had a proper full breakfast :D
And all sitting outside in the sunshine watching the sea and the boats and the people :D
Sometimes you really don't need Spain ;) :D
