I was woken up during the night by a lot of thunder, and the garden looked well-watered this morning.
We've had a lovely morning but it's clouding over now.

Not much planned for today. Might give Prince a short back and sides.

Ria, I spread out a large wet towel across part of the kitchen floor while we were out - both were lying on it when we got back, so thank you for the tip

Glad it worked

I did that yesterday for my lot; as most of mine have quite thick fur and are struggling as well. Henry was the only one to try it - well sort of. He first kept walking round the towel so I picked him up and put him on it and he realised just how nice and cool it was so happily just sat there a bit

This towel thread has been interesting Ria & Kaz - before aircon was available here our old neighbours told us they used to put wett(ish) towels on their bedroom floors a few hours before bedtime and they really helped to keep the room cool.

The towels would be stiff dry by morning..they just wet them again at night.

Becky's mate who keeps birds puts a wet towel over their cages when its very hot, they think it is a cool night and go to sleep..........Wish I was a budgie right now to be honest
