Morning all - dull and damp here and it's getting darker by the minute with heavy rain forecast for most of the day :( Mr. Osc is becoming quite the connisseur of putting washing out on the line and taking it in   and I got quite an intensive talk about putting the powder in the washing machine drawer and scraping away any gunk Image

When I was still in bed, I thought I might be able to wander up for the paper before the weather closed in, but once I started moving around, my body told me it might not be a great idea. Hopefully I might get out for a stroll later on with himself, and in the meantime having had a leisurely breakfast, I'm heading to the shower. Later on will do some reading, and also a friend of ours who has moved to New Zealand asked me for some dancing videos Mr. Osc recorded so as there's about 16 of them, I'll get the links and email them to him. Chicken thighs cooking away in the slow cooker.

Di, I hope you have a wonderful wonderful time, you both deserve every minute of it, and have a great time meeting Ton and Grumpy. Kaz, such a shame about the weather, even saying at least you had a good rest doesn't really cut it, does it :( Have a good day everyone :)

Morning all :D

Welcome home Kaz, sorry the weather didn't behave, but I'm sure you had a lovely break :D

Have a fabulous holibobs Di, hope the sun shines brightly for you. Oh and we'll want all the gossip about your meet with Ton :D

We've not long been up, must be all the excitement of yesterday that finished us off  On second thoughts it could have been the three bottles of wine me, Ed and our eldest granddaughter (who we weren't expecting so it was a lovely surprise) polished off in the afternoon  poor M my eldest daughter had to manage with a very small glass as she was driving

Altogether a really nice day. Brekkie was huge success, the younger two really loved being able to go back for juice etc as many times as they wanted. The Beefeater do a really good deal, it's unlimited hot and cold food and drinks for £8.75 per adult, children up to 16yrs old eat free. Oh and each adult can take up to three children so for big families an even better deal.

Afterwards we spent about an hour and a half with mother. She was really happy and pleased to see everyone, no idea it was for her birthday, but a lovely treat for her. I wasn't sure what they'd want to do for the afternoon, but they all decided to come back here so we detoured to Asda for pizza and chocolate cake, always guaranteed winners with the children. Even better, when we got there we discovered there was a funfair on the far side of the car park so they had a great time going on a few of the rides before coming back here.

No plans for today, we're officially in recovery mode

Hope you all have a good day :D
