Morning all - another lovely sunny day today; I certainly did pick the right week to take off work to work in the garden. Just wish the wind would die down a bit; it's a rather nippy breeze :(

Saundra - hope you feel back in form very soon; it sounds really uncomfortable :(
Poll - good luck with the haircut; looking forward to the photo's!
Debih - it is so frustrating when that happens with the car; I suspect I'll be in a similar situation next year

Have a lovely day everyone else and stay out of trouble  xxx

Morning :)
Another beautiful one here too, although yes meriad the breeze is certainly nippy ;)
Gal I only make porridge with water - and we both drink black coffee in the mornings :D I just have a little drop of milk in tea in the afternoons, a whole pint never gets used before it's off :)
Saundra glad it's improving (((x)))
Kaz it's lovely getting all ready and excited for visitors :D

A few bits and pieces to get done here - all the better for seeing the sunshine :)
Hope you all have a good day

Good morning friends.

Just back from a long walk with Prince. A lovely morning here - blue skies, lots of sun but a cool wind.

I don't know what we will be doing this afternoon. Mrs A is in town this morning so she won't feel like
too much walking for the rest of the day. We'll have to wait and see.

Hope you all have a good day.
Aggers

Well, it's good that some things just go right isn't it :D

We've been and sorted the car - it's one of these:
http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/r ... hatchback/

They're putting a year's mot on it so it won't be ready till Wednesday as the mot place closes tomorrow lunchtime for the long weekend.
But the really good news is that I came home to do the insurance. The best quote on confused.com was with LV, and I twigged that I have a policy with them for something else - so I phoned them and sure enough I get a discount :D
I used that to get cover for a courtesy car included for the same price :) I'm paying under £200, even doing it monthly.

The company I was with had already sent my renewal quote, which was £309, which I would never just pay, but I rang them for a quote for the new car and they said £345 :o
It's a pretty huge difference, the biggest I've ever seen, and I've done all these comparisons every single year! :D

Btw it's always a bit high as we have to pay for Bb doing business mileage ;)

Good afternoon all, it's another gorgeous day here today. Billy had a lovely long walk, after I got back from the gym and the shops. We did just under 4 miles, in perfect weather, all over the common and through the woods and apart from one fella walking in the distance, we didn't see another soul.

I've got the washing out on the line and I'll take Billy for a repeat of this morning's walk a little later. John and I usually do that after dinner but we need to do the big food shop tonight and the weather's too nice for Billy (and me!) to miss out on another lovely walk :D

Lovely car Di, and great news about the insurance!

Saundra, I hope you're back to good health very soon xx

Oooh John had a metallic red Clio as a courtesy car when his was in for a service - wonder if it's the same shade? It was gorgeous!

Enjoy the cricket ;)
