Oh Shell, I have just seen this. Poor Luke must be finding things difficult to understand... (((((X)))))

It is good to know that he is now home, let's hope that they find out what caused the problem in the first place and, more importantly, can do something about it to help you all.

Sorry I didn't get round to filling you in, only he got taken in again last night this time for seizures. Yet again his emergency medication failed to stop them :( :(

On Weds he was excessively sleepy, almost like he had narcolepsy. Tim and I have been seeing this when he is home at weekends, we immediately put it down to the Epilim which he started a month ago. Since the dose has increased again last week, the sleepiness has become almost permanent. He is also leaning to the left side, which is a bit worrying, but could be a balance thing. His Consultants both here and in London, are in agreement that it is more than likely due a) to the new drug and b) the amount and mix of drugs he is now on. So they are reducing his new one back down to 200mg twice a day and sticking with that for a while and also weaning him off his Clobazam, which was his emergency medication they agreed he could take daily whilst the new drug was built up. It is a Benzodiazepine so would contribute to the sleepy state.

So he got home from A&E at 11pm on Weds and was down there until 3.30am yesterday. So was poor Tim who has had to go to work as usual today.

Please send us some vibes for a peaceful weekend, we all need it

xxxx
