The house is now looking very clean and tidy, still have some sorting to do in the study, filing that sort of thing, but can't believe how much bigger this tiny room now looks. Mind you it did take two trips to the tip

Busy day again, visiting mother this morning and afterwards popping into town to collect my new specs. Expect we'll fit in coffee and lunch between the two. Really looking forward to finally having my new glasses, it's a major pain using the cheapo readers when we're shopping, I need them to look at labels but because they're just magnifiers can't see a thing when I look away so have to keep taking them on/off every few minutes. The new ones will still be varifocals but the optician assured me, although I won't need them for distance vision, I will find I can keep them on around the house when switching between reading/computer, and will even sharpen my vision when watching the tv. She also said they will be good when shopping too........we'll see........fingers crossed.

Good afternoon all, it's brightened up after a misty start.

The gy's done and Billy's had his walk, the washing's out on the line and I'm impatient for dinner this evening as I'm making the gorgeous veggie pie which Di posted the recipe for a while back
Tonight we have to go and pick up a new PC. The one in the study is quite old and is failing so we've splashed out on a new one. It's John's really, he's the one who uses the desktop the most but if it's any good I might find myself using it more often

(It's my mum and dad's 53rd anniversary today)

It was my Mom and Dad's 58th anniversary on Monday
