Seeing as it's the first day of Spring.........

It got quite windy here today; I've had to put the water-butt (in reality a plastic waste bin) back in the potting shed because it kept blowing over and demolishing the anemones .... I'll wait until it's calmer and we have steady rain forecast.

The snowdrops and crocuses are over now, but the daffs are in full bloom, and the bluebells are beginning to bud. We were very pleased with the snowdrops this year as they've really propagated since last winter, and we counted at least 34 flowering in the back garden.

The local council guys were out today near us, cutting down all the wild daisies - well, they are over 2 feet tall, along the side of the pavements

Huge, indeed Kaz The fields opposite are stuffed full of them in clumps, wioth the other wold flowers inbetween.

Joao, who works for the council, is very good at looking after a few plants that our next door neighbour has planted on the opposite wasteland and always makes sure they're left, so they're now standing proud looking good

He's also sprayed the pavement outside our house with weedkiller - but no-one elses

We just had to turn the TV up to hear it over the rain

I went for a walk on the beach with a friend and her two mad dogs

in flip-flops - and had to put sun-cream on, it was really hot again

Gorgeous day today, plenty of sitting in the sun, while not napping, had a rotisserie chicken BBQ dinner last night..... Autumn? who said it was autumn?
