Good afternoon all, it's quite nice and sunny here although very windy. Rain is forecast for this afternoon so Billy's had his long afternoon walk this morning. It was lovely over the common.

I've just reminded John to be home early as it's Tom's parents evening today. The letter arrived on Saturday (they mail things like that out because I guess some pupils wouldn't want to pass them on if they handed them out in school) and they've changed the system. Rather than the students arranging the appointments, it's now all done online so I did it straight away and managed to get all late appointments otherwise it's difficult for John to attend as the last available time is 6.25pm with a view to everything being finished by 6.30pm. Long gone are the days when parents evening went on until 8/9pm :? The problem with going at that time though is that we always - every single time, without fail - find that some teachers just go home and don't bother waiting around for the later time slots, and there's never yet been an apology or explanation. If it happens tonight I'll be emailing the head tomorrow.
I actually ran into Tom in Home Bargains yesterday morning - at 10am. He had a free morning as he's supposed to have English but his teacher is on jury duty and no substitute has been arranged and no work set either so they were just hanging out in the 6th form room and they decided to pop out to buy chocolate :?

Anyway, after parents evening I need to do the weekly shop.

Have a good day everyone!

Di, I hope there'll be pics of the highlights!

Jo that system sounds dreadful  :? Neither C nor B did 6th form, they both went on to college which is different of course......

Di highlights sound a great plan, a pic would be nice 8-) :) :)

Well I've been out and spent some birthday money in M&S on two nice tops - might post them on the Boutique board later 8-)

I also bought D some flowers for her front room - she spent all of this morning cleaning it, wiping down the walls, steam cleaning the cushions from the sofas etc - she said after that it felt like 'hers' again :) We did help her clean up after the break-in but she hadn't used the room while the windows were boarded up! I popped them in to her on my walk back from town :)

Thanks both - I often take flowers, it was daffs last time, only cheap and cheerful but this was a mixed Spring bouquet from M&S, something special for her newly done room 8-) :)
