Good afternoon everybody.
Out shopping and to the building society this morning. Also called at the gym to check when my annual pass is due for renewal. I can have it at the same price if I renew before it expires. Otherwise it will be £30 dearer. Having a relaxing afternoon and evening. Getting ready for tomorrow as mrs.e has another birthday. Have bought her another ring and some flowers.

Well we've had no rain so far, it's been a lovely morning and I can't believe that it's January and I walked back from town without wearing gloves! It's suddenly gone very dark though and there's a huge grey cloud coming over from the Birmingham/Wolverhampton area

The gym was pretty quiet, usually there are loads of inductions once January comes around but there's a new one opening a couple of miles away next month, a Pure Gym, and they're advertising an opening offer at £10.99 a month for a year so I wonder if people will hold fire and go there instead when it opens.

Tom's gone to a friend's house, not sure when he'll be back but he said he'll call later and let me know if he wants dinner. John's out with a couple of his old college friends tonight. They used to go out every Thursday night without fail but then one, Tom's Godfather, joined the police force (he's CID now, he has such an interesting job) and started working shifts so now they just seem to get together at Christmas.

I've looked at the bank account online, paid some bills and worked out what we have left to spend for the rest of the month. Glad that's all done (and glad that we don't splurge over Christmas leaving us in debt!!). I've put some aside to pay the deposit on the cottage in Cornwall. I'm not sure what's happening with that yet. I reserved it last Summer (the rental company will reserve a cottage for free and you pay the deposit in January) but the boys argued so much that we said we wouldn't go this year, but Cornwall is calling...we need to talk about it this weekend and make a decision.

Hope your boiler is okay now Saundra, are you feeling better too?

Afternoon all.

I've been back to work. Only 9.30 til 11.30 though. And I'm not back again til Monday.

Then pottered about at home and now I'm chilling.

hi everyone,

Am a bit late checking in today so I shall say Good Evening :) ;)

We got up and went into Edinburgh this morning, I have avoided the 'Edinburgh Christmas' things as its a new company and there wasn't much for kids, and it was over priced.....anyway, today they had 'services day' so if you work for NHS or other services you got on the big wheel/ice rink/star flyer free, not going near the star flyer as its way too high, so we went on the Big Wheel, still cost £6 for Amy but I was free, so thought we would. It was a different big wheel this year, enclosed pods, so not as cold, but still VERY high! lol!

Then we went a wee drive and to Next as Amy had £15 to spend on a gift card as we returned her jeans my sister got her - didnt like them on. She got 2 t-shirts, although 1 is being collected tomorrow as they didn't have her size, so they are ordering it in.

Got home and had lunch, soup and crusty bread, and then watched tv. Amy has gone to play with her friend a few doors down and I have a sausage casserole in the oven so will be ready soon.

Tomorrow we have the council coming between 8-2 to fit new smoke alarms then will go and collect Amys new t-shirt and go to a small jewellers on the way there to get some links taken out my new watch so I can wear it :D :D

Hope you have all had a good day
