Been very wet and windy here today, about a mile up the road they have had snow but its not lying yet, phew!

We popped out around 11ish and it was heavy sleet and very very windy, it has been really cold too. Just watched the weather for tomorrow and I think they are expecting it to get worse :(

Stay safe everyone

We've just taken Billy for a 3 mile walk and it's dry and the wind's died down quite a lot, it's quite mild too - I had to take my gloves off.

South West Trains had to cancel quite a few trains because there were trees on the tracks (in some key areas unfortunately); thankfully I managed to meet up Nadine at Waterloo and we caught a train home together and managed to get a seat so not too bad. It was horrendous when I got to Woking but calmed down again. But the last hour or so has been blowing quite badly....

I do feel for my other brother though - he's on his way over from Germany and is currently stuck on a ferry in the channel because Dover port is closed. It was closed when they boarded in Calais but then reopened so they set off but about 20 mins or so before they were due to dock they closed the port again. It eems there is a chance that it will remain closed until about 3am this morning. Just hope everyone manages to get some sleep because most will still have quite a long drive ahead of them :(

Oh blimey meriad that sounds really horrible, it must be awful in the channel too

Lissie it's dreadful isn't it, if anything it's even worse now which I wouldn't have thought possible :o
Even Minnie, who loves the wind, is too scared to go out :?
I feel so sorry for those who have to be out to be at work, it's really dangerous out there :o

Phew...I think I got out just in time!

It was very windy and squally today in Nottingham but had died down by the time I boarded at 5pm and I had a great smooth flight. 8-)

As I type Leilani's parents have just left Cape Town and due to land at Heathrow at 7am tomorrow. :shock :

As it's summer there methinks they'll feel the cold. :x

It's been pretty grim here all day, but we did manage to get into town as planned
this morning. Dog walking is a bit of a pain in this sort of weather, but needs must.

The forecast for tomorrow isn't too good either.

Glad you had a good flight, Ally - I was wondering how you were getting on.
