oh goodness!!

Amy had her earrings out for nearly a week and had to force them back in and her ears went red, had to keep cleaning them every day, they are fine now but she knows if she takes them out for school, i.e. gym day or swimming day she gets them back in at night.

Good idea about taking a friend. Her bestie is thinking of having hers done so we could all go together.

I have never ever wanted my ears done.

When I was younger, about 17, I was walking round Shepherds Bush market and still remember the screams coming from a very small baby, who had just had her ears done.

I refused to let my daughter have hers done - as all her friends were having theirs done - until she was at least 16. Her father was always on at me to let her have them done, but she waited until she was 18.

I don't approve of babies or very small children either Ton - when I worked in Samuels the manager had a very strict policy of no under 5's......I was shocked at the number of mums who tried to get around it

That's a really great idea about taking a friend with her!

I was seven when I first got mine done and then when I was hairdressing I acquired another few holes in each ear but had let those heal over, leaving just the original ones.
I had one ear pierced with another two holes when we were in London last month though. I was bracing myself for the pain and I heard the gun go but honestly thought that something had gone wrong and the earring hadn't pierced the skin, I didn't feel a thing. I'm bathing the ear with warm salty water three times a day.
