When my best mate was living in Las Vegas, a friend phoned one morning to ask if I knew Virgin were having a one-day sale to the US, all seats £50.
The website had crashed, and the phone no. was engaged for 10 minutes so I drove straight into town to the travel agent and said I'd have any seat from Heathrow to LA or Las Vegas, and any coming back. They were disappearing as she looked so she just grabbed the first ones she found :D
I got one to and one from LA, 11 days apart, then worked out the internal flights.

Then went home and phoned mate to tell him when I was going to visit - thankfully he was going to be at home

At this very moment? Another cruise

Or the Grand Canyon for Cword

Or another trip to Nashville so we can immerse ourselves in the fab country music there

I could go on.............

If we could turn back the clock, like Ossie said, then a beach on the IOW in the mid 1960s helping my dad build a sandcastle would be wonderful :) :)

Otherwise Corfu please - and luckily we have it booked again for next year :) :) :)

We took the boys a few years ago, as we'd both had lovely times there in the 70s.
It had changed. A lot :(

I know, Jo .... I wouldn't go there now. :(

Very sad, we had some wonderful holidays there as kids.

It is sad, it was such a lovely town.
We went to Barmouth one Sunday afternoon a few years ago, I'd never been before but John had had good holidays there as a child - I hated it. It should be renamed Brownhills-By-The-Sea judging by the number of Walsall accents we heard :?
