Yes, Prince is coming. He loved it when we stayed there before. We take a sort of igloo from him to sleep in in our bedroom, and he loves it.
He's very well behaved, and everybody loves him (I think!)

Have a lovely time Aggers, Shropshire is a lovely county isn't it? Joe's actually off to Ironbridge for a History class trip next week.

Saturday I'm going boots shopping. I tried the local Clarks this morning and they were, as usual, pretty hopeless so I'll try a larger one. They don't carry a wide range and if there is anything I like they never have my size, obviously they can order in but the lady this morning who served me said it'd be the middle of next week by the time they got in anything I wanted to try, and then I might not like them when I see them or the fit might not be good and I'll have to start all over again. What annoys me about Clarks is that I go in, choose something, they don't have the size but come out of the stockroom with pairs that they think I might like. Ermmmm no. If I liked them then I'd have picked them out from the display and asked to try them  Plus both pairs that she brought out were knee high and twice the price of the ankle boots I'd asked to try!
Rant over!

Apart from that we'll be visiting my parents on Saturday night, and there'll be some dog walks :D

Good luck Jo :)
Clarks are annoying aren't they, they really do have good stuff but it's almost impossible to buy in their shops!

We went to Ironbridge Victorian Museum earlier this year and really enjoyed it.

I'm sure Joe will enjoy it. Tell him to take his camera, there is plenty to snap there.

They are annoying, it's the same when shopping for school shoes too. There's never the size in the style they want.
Someone's told me about a kind of factory shop/outlet place in Stafford though which stock named brands including Clarks so I'll have a mooch in there as well as the larger Clarks.

Hope you have a lovely holiday Aggers.

I have always wanted to go to the Ironbridge museum but never made it. Next year............

We used to have loads of factory shops around us - over Alfreton way - mainly clothes and fabric but over the years they have all shut down. The last one (and closest one to us) to close was in Wirksworth and although the clothes, etc were very much "old lady" stuff they did have some handy stuff - knickers, vests, socks and stuff for the girls - school wear, joggers, hats and scarves and shoes. That closed about a year ago. Since it closed we can't even buy wellies around here now and have to drive to the nearest decent size town!!!
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!
