I had him trace the system. Right back to the mains tap (which was open), feeding the system......
As I installed both my hot water and my central heating (both of which have expansion vessels), I can visualise it. Gave me a laugh because it's exactly the kind of thing I would do. Remembering at the exact time the water starts rushing out.....
